Tutus!

So Halloween was a few months ago but I have been meaning to post about my costume!
I dressed up as a Peacock and made my costume! The reason why I made it was because I learned how to make a tutu and thought it would be very appropriate for a peacock costume.

What you need- Ribbon, Tulle. That's all!
Unless you want to make a peacock or bird then buy extra ribbon and lots of feathers, you could have flowers too, whatever you like for whatever look you are going for. You may need a hot glue gun if you want to add more to the tutu.

So what you do- get a ribbon that will wrap around your waist or hips, where ever you are going to wear it on your body and give some extra length to the ribbon so you can tie it on. Lay out the ribbon in a straight line and fold the tulle in half and and tie it around the ribbon!
If you are going more than one color do one colored tulle at a time. After that add the other color alternating the previous tulle
 and so on...
 and so on!
This is a picture of all of our tutus together!
And the finished result of the Peacock tutu!
I wish I remembered to take more pictures of in the process like when I glued the feathers on. But I am very forgetful. Hopefully you get the basics of it!

p.s. might be fun to make it for your daughters!

GOOD LUCK!
